Aftercare

Fine line work is delicate. Careful aftercare in the first two weeks makes a real difference to how the piece settles.

First 24 hours

Leave the covering on for as long as Kristyn advises. When you remove it, wash your hands first, then clean the area gently with lukewarm water and a fragrance-free soap. Pat dry with a clean paper towel — do not rub.

First two weeks

• Wash the area gently twice a day
• Apply a thin layer of the ointment Kristyn recommends
• Keep it out of direct sun
• No swimming pools, hot tubs, baths, or open water
• Do not pick, scratch, or peel flaking skin
• Avoid tight clothing over the area

What is normal

Some redness, tenderness, light swelling, and flaking in the first days are common. Fine lines often look softer as they settle.

When to contact the studio

Message the studio if you have a question about how the piece is settling, or if something does not look the way you expected.

When to seek medical care

Contact a doctor or another qualified health professional if you develop spreading redness, increasing pain, heat around the area, discharge, or a fever. The studio cannot assess medical symptoms.

Touch-ups

Healing varies from person to person and from one placement to another. If the piece needs attention once it has fully settled, get in touch and Kristyn will take a look.
